About Indian Coriander Seeds
Coriander seeds — dhaniya — are the dried fruit of Coriandrum sativum, a plant whose leaves (cilantro) and seeds are both widely traded but used quite differently: the seed carries a warm, citrusy, slightly sweet flavour distinct from the leaf's fresh, herbaceous character. India, Russia, and Ukraine together account for roughly 80% of global coriander seed exports, with India's main growing belts centred on Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

Eagle grade is the premium tier — large, whole, plump, greenish-yellow seeds with high volatile oil content, sought after for whole-seed retail and premium spice blends.
